What is the Hours approval module?
The Hours approval module (available as an optional license) allows office staff to review, approve, or reject hours and cost entries that field workers submit from Handyman Mobile. For information on how office staff manage approvals, see the article Hours approval module.
How do I know if my entries have been rejected?
When you synchronise, Handyman Mobile notifies you at the end of synchronisation if new rejections have been received:
Rejected entries appear in red in your Hours summary report, making them easy to identify:
How do I correct a rejected entry?
Entries in Handyman Mobile are locked after the first synchronisation and cannot be edited directly. When an entry is rejected, a negative correction record is automatically added to the order to cancel the original entry:
To submit corrected data, add a new hours and cost entry on the same order with the correct values. This new entry Handyman sends to Handyman Office on your next synchronisation for review.
What should I do if I am not sure what was wrong?
Contact your supervisor or the official in charge on the order. They can view the rejection reason in Handyman Office and tell you what needs to be corrected. Once you know what to change, add the corrected entry as described above.
