How do I read descriptions on an order?
- Open the order from your order list
- Tap Descriptions in the order details
- Read the descriptions shown
Descriptions marked with a house icon are internal — visible only to your organisation, not to customers. Descriptions without the house icon may appear on customer documents.
How do I add a description to an order?
- Open the order and tap Descriptions
- Tap the plus icon or Add description
- Enter your text
- Enable the Internal toggle if this note should only be visible to your organisation
- Tap Save
Your description appears in the list immediately. If you marked it as internal, the house icon shows next to it. The description uploads to the office system during the next synchronisation.
When should I use internal descriptions?
Use internal descriptions for information the customer should not see:
- Reporting safety hazards or damaged equipment at the site
- Noting work that requires a follow-up order
- Documenting delays or complications
- Requesting materials or support from the office
- Recording findings that need office review before customer communication
Use standard (non-internal) descriptions for work summaries and completion notes that can appear on customer documentation.
