What is the symptom?
You can see the electronic travel log and your recorded trips in Handyman Mobile, but when you select a trip to assign to an order, the order picker (the checkmark icon at the bottom right of the screen) does not appear. This means the trip cannot be linked to an order.
What causes this?
This happens when no cost element has been configured for use with the electronic travel log in Handyman Office. Handyman Mobile needs a cost element designated for travel log entries before it can link trips to orders.
How do I fix this in Handyman Office?
- In Handyman Office, go to Configuration → Cost element
- Select the cost element used for travel registrations (or create a new one if needed)
- Navigate to the tab Driver's log / travel log
- Enable the checkbox in the travel log settings section
- Click OK to save
The mobile user must perform a synchronisation on their device for the new settings to take effect
After synchronisation, the order picker appears when selecting a trip in the electronic travel log, and trips you can assign to orders normally.
What if the problem persists after synchronising?
If the order picker still does not appear after synchronising, verify that:
- The correct cost element has the travel log setting enabled (not a different cost element)
- your license includes the electronic travel log feature
- The synchronisation completed successfully with no errors
Contact GSG Handyman support if the issue continues after confirming all of the above.
