How do I set up email in Handyman Mobile?
Handyman Mobile supports two email methods. Go to Settings → Email to configure your preferred option.
What is option 1 — Use my device's email app?
Tap Use email client. Handyman Mobile connects to your device's default email application. When you send a report or document from within the app, your email client opens with the message pre-filled and ready to send.
If you have multiple email apps installed on your device, you will be prompted to choose which one to use each time you send.
What is option 2 — Configure SMTP manually?
If your organisation requires email to be sent through a specific mail server, enter the SMTP settings manually. Fill in the following fields:
- SMTP address — Your mail server address (e.g. smtp.yourcompany.com)
- Port — The port number used by your mail server (typically 25, 465, or 587)
- Enable SSL/TLS — Check this box if your server requires an encrypted connection
- Sender email address — The address that appears in the From field of outgoing emails
- Use default credentials — Check this if your mail server uses Windows authentication
- User ID — Your email account username (if not using default credentials)
- Password — Your email account password (if not using default credentials)
Contact your IT administrator if you do not know the correct SMTP settings for your organisation.
What is microsoft Store version — reset attachment download folder?
If you use the Microsoft Store version of Handyman Mobile, an additional button is available to reset the folder used for downloading email attachments. Tap this button if attachments are saving to the wrong location. The next time you download an email attachment, you will be prompted to choose a new folder.
