What is step 1 — Synchronise your old device?
Before doing anything else, synchronise your old device to upload any work you have completed. This ensures no unsynchronised orders, time entries, photos, or signatures are lost.
- Open Handyman Mobile on your old device
- Open the Navigation bar and tap Synchronisation
- Wait for synchronisation to complete successfully
If your old device is broken or lost and you cannot synchronise it, contact the office immediately. They can check what data was saved at the last successful synchronisation.
What is step 2 — Ask the office to deactivate your license?
Your Handyman Mobile license is tied to one device at a time. Contact your office staff or system administrator and ask them to deactivate your license on the old device.
The office deactivates the license in Handyman Office under the mobile user settings. They should also provide you with the server IP address you will need for the new device. Write it down or save it somewhere accessible.
Do not proceed to step 3 until the office confirms the license has been deactivated — attempting to activate the new device before deactivation causes a license conflict error.
What is step 3 — Set up Handyman Mobile on your new device?
- Download and install Handyman Mobile from Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS)
- Open the app and enter the server IP address provided by the office
- Enter your username and password
- Tap Connect or Log in
- Perform a full synchronisation
After synchronisation completes, your new device has all your current orders, customer information, and Handyman data. Your old device is deactivated and can no longer connect to the system.
