What does the Order Log show?
The Log tab on an order displays a complete chronological record of everything that has happened to that order. This includes:
- When the order was created and by whom
- Status changes (e.g. activated, started, finished)
- Participant assignments and changes
- Synchronisation events from Handyman Mobile
- Invoice creation and export events
- Any other tracked system actions
The log overlaps with the system-wide Activity Log but is scoped to the specific order, making it easier to trace the history of a single job without filtering.
How do I access the Order Log?
- Open Handyman Office and go to the Order module (CTRL+F1)
- Open the order you want to investigate
- Click the Log tab
The log entries appear in chronological order with timestamps, the action performed, and you who performed it. Use this to investigate discrepancies, track when data was synchronised, or confirm when status changes occurred.
When should I use the Order Log?
The Order Log is most useful when you need to:
- Verify when an order was completed or invoiced
- Investigate why an order appears in an unexpected state
- Confirm that field data was synchronised before invoicing
- Audit changes made by a specific user
For system-wide activity across all records, see the Activity Log.
