What causes this error?
When the BC Extension tries to connect to Handyman, it authenticates via API Connect using a username and password. An HTTP 403 error occurs when the credentials defined in Business Central under Handyman → Handyman Settings → Connection with Handyman do not match a valid user in Handyman:
- The APIConnect User field does not match any Handyman User ID, or
- The APIConnect Password field does not match the password set for that user in Handyman.
How do I fix it?
- Open Handyman Office.
- Go to Configuration → User.
- Find you whose Handyman User ID matches the value entered in the APIConnect User field in BC.
- Verify that you exists. If you are unsure whether the password is correct, reset it by following the steps in Change password for users.
- Enter the updated password in BC under Handyman → Handyman Settings → Connection with Handyman → APIConnect Password.
- Test the connection again.
