How does Event email sending work?
When an Event triggers — for example when an order is completed or a service date is reached — Handyman automatically sends emails to the recipients defined in the Event template. Recipients can be internal users, external contacts, or both. Email sending happens immediately, with no approval step.
What should I check before enabling customer-facing emails?
- Test end-to-end before going live
- Review email subject, body text, and merge fields for accuracy
- Confirm customer contact details in Handyman are current
- Verify event type conditions are precise — a misconfigured trigger can send unintended emails
- Ensure the sending email address is correctly configured
