What is stocktaking in Handyman Mobile?
Stocktaking lets you count the materials in your vehicle store and update the quantities directly from Handyman Mobile. When the technician saves their counts, the updated figures are sent to Handyman Office during the next synchronisation. Stocktaking must be activated per store in Handyman Office before the option becomes visible in Handyman Mobile.
How do I activate stocktaking in Handyman Office?
An administrator must enable stocktaking for each store before it is available in Handyman Mobile. To activate it:
- In Handyman Office, open the Logistics module.
- Click Store in the toolbar.
- Select the vehicle store you want to enable for stocktaking.
- Click Edit (or double-click the store).
- Go to the Store tab.
- Under Stocktaking, check Stocktaking allowed in Handyman Mobile.
- Optionally check Show number in stock during stocktaking in Handyman Mobile to display existing quantities to the technician while counting.
- Choose the approval mode:
- Manual approval of stocktaking result — an office user reviews and approves the count before stock is updated.
- Stock taking result updates store status immediately — counts are applied automatically when the technician synchronises.
- Save the store settings.
After the technician's next synchronisation, the Stocktaking option appears in Handyman Mobile for that store.
How do I perform a stocktake?
- Open Handyman Mobile and navigate to your vehicle store.
- Select Stocktaking.
- The stocktaking screen shows all materials with their current quantities.
- Tap the adjustment button on the right side of any material row.
- Enter the correct quantity based on your physical count.
- Repeat for each material. You can adjust multiple items before synchronising.
- When finished, submit the count. All changes are sent to Handyman Office at the next synchronisation.
When do stocktaking changes synchronise?
Adjusted quantities are sent to Handyman Office when you next synchronise — either manually or automatically. After synchronisation, updated stock counts appear under Logistics → Store in Handyman Office. If manual approval is enabled, an office user must approve the count before stock levels are updated.
