How does Handyman Cloud connect to Entra ID?
Handyman Cloud uses a registered application in your Entra tenant to authenticate users. Before any user can sign in with their Entra account, an administrator in your Entra tenant must approve this application. There are two ways to do this.
Option 1: Approve the connection on the first sign-in attempt
Use this option if your Entra tenant accepts inbound consent requests.
- A user attempts to sign in to Handyman Cloud with their Entra account.
- The first attempt triggers a consent request that is sent to your Entra administrator.
- The administrator approves the request in Entra.
- The administrator can then create groups in Entra and grant access to the appropriate users according to your company's policies.
Option 2: Pre-approve the connection in Entra
Use this option if your Entra tenant does not accept inbound consent requests, or if you want to authorise the connection before any user attempts to sign in.
Provide the following details to your Entra administrator:
- Application (client) ID: 20b76cf6-11c1-44a4-b617-7e4bb5a770b7
- Admin consent URL: https://login.microsoftonline.com/organizations/adminconsent?client_id=20b76cf6-11c1-44a4-b617-7e4bb5a770b7
The administrator opens the admin consent URL while signed in to your Entra tenant and approves access for the Handyman Cloud application.
