What are the two levels of security?
Handyman Mobile supports two independent password levels:
- User password — protects individual accounts. Each user must enter their password when they synchronise and select themselves from you list.
- Client password — a single password for accessing the client. New users must enter this password before they can see the available Handyman Mobile licenses.
How do I set a user password?
- In Handyman Office, go to Configuration → User.
- Select you you want to set a password for.
- Choose the password option from the left menu.
- Enter your own current password when prompted — this confirms your identity as the logged-in administrator, not you you are editing.
- Enter and confirm the new password for the selected user.
- Click OK.
The next time that user synchronises in Handyman Mobile, they will be prompted to enter their password before selecting their name from you list.
How do I set a client password?
- Open Handyman ControlCenter.
- Select the client from the list.
- Click Edit in the left-hand menu.
- Find the Client password field under the General section.
- Enter the password and save.
Users who are already synchronised will not need to enter this password again. New users, or users whose Handyman Mobile license has been deactivated in Handyman Office, will be prompted for the client password on their next synchronisation.
