What does synchronisation transfer?
When you synchronise, Handyman Mobile sends all completed work to Handyman Office and receives updated data in return. The following is transferred:
- Sent to office: Completed orders, tasks, materials used, hours and cost entries, descriptions, service forms, and checklist registrations
- Received from server: New and updated orders, customers, sites, equipment, items, price lists, and other master data
How do I synchronise manually?
Tap the synchronisation icon in the Navigation bar. The synchronisation starts immediately and a progress indicator appears. When synchronisation is complete, a confirmation message appears.
When does automatic synchronisation occur?
Handyman Mobile you can configure to synchronise automatically when specific events happen. Your administrator sets these triggers in Handyman Office, but they typically include:
- When you complete your order participation
- When an order is activated from the Free orders tab
- When the status of a task changes
- When a travel timer is started or stopped
- After sending an order report
Why is synchronisation important?
All work you complete in Handyman Mobile is stored locally on your device until you synchronise. If your device is lost, damaged, or reset before synchronising, any unsynchronised data will be lost. Synchronise regularly — especially after completing orders — to ensure your work is safely stored in the Handyman system.
