Who can create Events?
All Handyman Office coordinators can add Events to orders they have access to. Super users can define Event templates and set defaults per service order group, so Events are added automatically when new orders of that type are created.
How do I create an Event template?
- Go to Configuration → Templates → Events
- Click New
- Enter a name and description
- Select an event type: Manual, Automatic (on order creation/start/completion), or Relative (relative to a date, order creation, order start, or the previous event's time)
- For Relative events, set the deadline and warning limit
- Set mobile options: whether the event is visible in Handyman Mobile, and who may close it (official in charge, main participant, or all participants)
- Add one or more actions. For each action, set:
- Condition: Done, Done before deadline, Done after deadline, Not done (auto), On warning (auto), Dismissed
- Action type: Send SMS, Send Email, or Add checklist
- Recipients (for SMS/Email) or checklist name
- Click OK
How do I set a default Event template for an order category?
- Go to Configuration → Order categories
- Select the order category
- Add the Event templates to include by default for all new orders in this category
- Click OK
