Messages from the resource planner

In the resource planner, you can see these messages:

Task is the first description on the task. You shouldn't edit it from the resource planner. It appears on the front page of the order overview and then behaves like other descriptions. So the task message is delivered to the technician.

Task messages are carried over into your ERP system if you have the integration.

If you have multiple descriptions on the order, you will be able to see them in descriptions over in Office and in descriptions on mobile, but not in Task.

Comment is the second text field on the task. It is a bit trickier, and generally, its use is discouraged. It does not transfer with the integration, and it is difficult for the technician to find in the mobile version. To find the field on mobile, you must:

Click the order
Click All tasks
Click the task

How do I use descriptions?

Descriptions you can find in Office. Open your order in Office and tap Description.

Here you see all descriptions. Default descriptions are carried over into your ERP system unless you choose to make them internal by placing a house icon on them. Internal messages with a house icon do not transfer to your ERP system.

Descriptions are also easy to find on mobile.

Tap the order.

Tap descriptions.

In my screenshot, the newest description is at the top (there is a guide on this here if you want to change your view) and you can see that they match the Office order.

What are Notes to and from the office?

We also have two other messages, Note to the office and Note from the office. Be aware that they can be disabled on mobile. It is usually better to use Descriptions instead, as Descriptions are easier to find and are transferred to your ERP system. Note to the office and Note from the office are not.

They appear quite differently in the Office section.

Open your order in Office and tap Participants. You can see your Note to the office on the participant who wrote the note.
