How do I export Salespersons / Purchasers?
To select and export Salespersons/Purchasers, follow the standard procedure described in Export basic data from Business Central.
How are Salespersons / Purchasers imported into Handyman?
When exported from Business Central, Salespersons/Purchasers are created in Handyman as users with the following defaults:
- They are assigned the role Official in charge.
- The Handyman User ID is set to the Salesperson/Purchaser's Code in BC.
- No password is set — you must set one manually in Handyman Office.
What do I need to configure in Handyman Office after the export?
Before the exported user can log in to Handyman Office, you must complete the following steps in Configuration → User:
- Assign a department — departments are not exported from BC (there is no BC equivalent to a Handyman department), so this must be set manually.
- Assign a Handyman Office licence — you will not be able to log in until a licence is assigned.
You can also apply additional optional configuration:
- Assign the role System Administrator
- Change the role to Department Official in charge
- Assign user profiles
- Limit access to data from selected departments
- Change the display language
- Set a password
