What are user profiles?
User profiles can be defined for Handyman Office to grant or restrict access at a granular level — beyond what the predefined roles offer.
A user profile can grant access to entire desktops or to specific functions and menu plug-ins. Each user can hold one user profile. you profile overrides the system-defined role, enabling highly specific permissions, for example:
- Access only to checklist and dictionary management
- Access to the Order desktop and Resource Planner without the right to create or delete orders
- Access to the Logistics desktop, excluding the Purchase order tab
How do I access to the Resource Planner?
Requires the Clerk or Department clerk role. All clerks and department clerks can access the Resource Planner from Handyman Office. Access can also be granted to specific employees via a user profile without assigning the full Clerk role.
What is handyman Portal access?
Handyman Portal users are managed separately. Access profiles for the portal are configured in Configuration → Handyman Portal → Access profiles. Portal users can be customers, partners or internal users with limited access to specific portal features (order submission, status tracking, invoices).
