Where are the configuration settings?
All configuration settings for the BC Extension are found on the Handyman Settings page. In Business Central, go to Handyman → Handyman Settings.
Tooltips are provided for each setting directly on the page — hover over any field label to see a description of what it controls.
Before configuring, ensure the initial setup has been completed as described in Initial setup of the Handyman Extension for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
What does the default configuration support?
The extension comes with a default configuration that supports a basic service process using Handyman and Business Central together. For most standard workflows, you can start using the integration with minimal changes to the defaults.
Which settings configure for specific features?
Some settings are required before certain functionality works. Key examples include:
- Settings → Orders → Number for miscellaneous items — the item number used in Business Central for costs that do not have a corresponding BC item (such as time registrations). This must be set if you want to import order lines for non-item costs.
Review all settings in Handyman → Handyman Settings and enable or configure those relevant to your workflow before going live.
