The extension enables you to adjust the level of automation in data exchange. By default, the configuration is set for a fully manual import and export process. Higher levels of automation may require a multiplex license for Business Central.
1. Batch-processing vs. job queue
To avoid multiplex licensing while still achieving a high degree of efficiency, you may use batch processing: The Handyman extension adds the "+"-Icon to the role center. Clicking this icon executes the actions configured for automation as described below.
The "+" icon for batch processing must be enabled via Handyman Settings.
Both, batch-processing and job queue use the same process and settings.
2. Actions to automate
a) Export basic data
In Handyman settings,
- First enable the export for the basic data that should be exported (e.g. items and customers)
- Then enable basic data export automation
As manual export of basic data data, only data that has not been exported before Handyman sends to Handyman.
b) Order processing
In Handyman settings define the level of automation required:
c) Store movements
In Handyman Settings configure the Export Store Movement type.
- Manual: To be used for batch processing or fully manual export
- Job Queue: Use this when full automation you need
Further settings exist define automatic handling of store movements sent by Handyman.
3. Setup the job queue entry
