What are the supported order types?
The Handyman extension enhances standard BC order pages to support three order types:
- Sales orders
- Service orders
- Jobs (Projects)
How do I export an order to Handyman?
- Open the order in Business Central.
- Go to Home → Export to Handyman.
- This step you need before the order can be worked on in Handyman. Orders planned in Handyman Office or the Resource Planner are exported automatically. For free orders, use this action to export manually.
How do I open an order in Handyman Office?
- Open the order in Business Central.
- Go to Home → Open in Handyman Office.
- This opens Handyman Office directly to that order. It requires the BC protocol handler to be installed.
How do I view reports from Handyman?
- Open the order in Business Central.
- Go to Reports → Handyman.
- The report for that order loads as a PDF. The order must have been exported to Handyman first.
How do I check order status?
The Handyman status field on the order shows the current state. Possible values are:
- Not exported to Handyman — the order has not been sent to Handyman yet.
- Exported to Handyman — the order is in Handyman but not yet started.
- Planned — the order is planned and assigned to a technician.
- Completed — the order is finished in Handyman and ready for invoicing.
