How is equipment structured in the integration?
Business NXT is the master for equipment when an organisational unit is used for this purpose. Which organisational unit to use is flexible — the integration is configured to match the customer's setup.
Equipment can be structured in two ways:
- Flat structure — one organisational unit per piece of equipment, with no relations to other units. In this case, the integration automatically creates an installation site for each piece of equipment.
- Tree structure — an organisational unit can have sub-units. The top level always becomes the installation site, and sub-units can be equipment or additional installation sites. There is no limit on the number of levels. Each object points to its parent via the Main unit field.
Handyman accommodates both structures in the integration so it is easy to adapt to the choices made in Business NXT.
Note: If the equipment number/ID can contain text, orgUnit 7–12 must be used.
