Ersteinrichtung der Handyman-Erweiterung für Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Steps in this guide:

1. Install the Extension from MS Appsource

2. Enable the extension to use httpClient Requests

3. Make sure users have the right to use the extension

4. Establish the connection to the Handyman-Server

5. First functional check

You need to be a system administrator in Business Central to perform this step.

   • Search for "GSG Handyman Handyman" 
     Select the entry for "Handyman Field-Service Management for Dynamics 365" 
     
3. Install the free trial:
   

Wie aktiviere ich httpClient-Anfragen?

1. Go to Extension Management in Administration
2. Find and open the entry for "Handyman Field-Service Management for Dynamics 365 Business Central"
3. Activate the setting to allow httpClient Requests:
   

Wie richte ich die Benutzerberechtigungen ein?

1. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Berechtigungsset «GSG Handyman HANDYMAN» allen Business Central-Benutzern zur Verfügung steht, die die Erweiterung verwenden sollen – z. B. über Benutzergruppen, durch Bearbeiten des Benutzers oder über die Seite Permission Set by User

Wie stelle ich die Verbindung zum Handyman-Server her?

• Open the page "Handyman settings" from the Handyman menu:
  

• Open the page in edit-mode and enter the values provided by GSG Handyman in the highlighted fields:
  

Wie führe ich den ersten Funktionscheck durch?

1. Within Basic Data and Settings activate the option "ExportSettings"
2. Click on the button "Export"
   
    
3. Upon the first export the system will ask you for permissions. Once these are granted no further confirmation is required.
4. You will see a message confirming successful export
5. In Handyman Office VAT rate and the address of the company will be imported
