Why can't an employee log in to Handyman?
Every employee must have a unique email address set up in Contracting Works, as this email address is used for logging in to Handyman. If the login fails, check that the employee has a unique email address registered in Contracting Works.
How are Departments configured?
If departments are synchronised from Contracting Works, configure every imported department. If departments are not synchronised, configure the default department instead.
How do time and material registration from Handyman Mobile end up in Contracting Works?
Orders created in Handyman Mobile — including hours, costs, and material registrations — are synced to Handyman Office and exported to Contracting Works.
Do I need to create Orders manually in Handyman if an Order already exists in Contracting Works?
No. Orders created in Contracting Works are automatically imported into Handyman Office and Mobile as Orders via webhooks.
How are Projects handled between the two systems?
Projects in Contracting Works are imported into Handyman as Order categories.
Why does a saksbehandler need to be assigned as the project manager on an order?
In Contracting Works, any employee registered as a saksbehandler must also be assigned as the project manager on the related order. If this assignment is missing, Contracting Works may generate an error when importing order data into Handyman.
Why can't some products be imported into Handyman?
In the Contracting Works Products module, the Unit field is mandatory. Products without a specified unit cannot be imported into Handyman.
Can employee IDs be changed manually in the Handyman database?
No. Changing employee IDs manually can affect the existing integration mapping. Employee IDs are used in connections between Contracting Works and Handyman. If IDs are changed, all related references must also be updated.
