This article answers common questions about the standard integration between Handyman and Tripletex, covering how orders, time registrations, categories, and addresses are synced between the two systems.
Why can't an employee log in to Handyman?
Every employee must have a unique email address set up in Tripletex, as this email address is used for logging in to Handyman. If the login fails, check that the employee has a unique email address registered in Tripletex.
How do time and material registration from Handyman Mobile end up in Tripletex?
Orders created in Handyman Mobile — including hours, costs, and material registrations — are synced to Handyman Office and exported to Tripletex as Tripletex Projects.
Do I need to create Orders manually in Handyman if a Project already exists in Tripletex?
No. Projects created in Tripletex are automatically imported into Handyman Office and Mobile as Orders via webhooks.
How are Project categories handled between the two systems?
Project categories in Tripletex are imported into Handyman as Order categories.
What's the difference between Project Activities and Internal Activities?
In the Timeliste Innstillinger, Prosjektaktiviteter (Project Activities) should only be used for Work Orders. Internaktiviteter (Internal Activities) should only be used for Internal Work Orders. In Handyman, it is called Lønnsart.
Which addresses are imported from Tripletex, and what should I be aware of?
Tripletex imports Visiting Address, Delivery Address, and Postal Address into Handyman. When creating a work order in Handyman Office or Mobile, make sure to select the correct address for that order.
Are Internal Orders exported to Tripletex?
No, Internal Orders themselves are not exported from Handyman to Tripletex. However, time registrations logged on Internal Orders are always transferred to Tripletex.
How is master data synchronized?
Master data is transferred from Tripletex to Handyman automatically.
Customer data, employees, suppliers, price lists, wage types, and other master data are synchronized at regular intervals, while changes to orders are synchronized continuously.
How does Time Approval work?
The integration transfers approved working hours to Tripletex for payroll purposes. Holiday pay and sick pay calculations are handled in Tripletex rather than in Handyman. Hours can be approved for payroll even when registered on Internal Projects.
What information is required before an Order can be transferred?
Every Order must have an Order Name before it can be exported to Tripletex.
What happens when an Order is approved?
Once an Order is approved in Handyman, it is transferred to Tripletex. After the Project is invoiced and closed in Tripletex, the corresponding Order in Handyman is automatically marked as historical.
Can I register multiple time entries for the same employee on the same day?
Tripletex does not allow multiple time registrations for the same employee, the same Wage Type, and the same date. If multiple registrations are required, they may need to be adjusted directly in Tripletex.
What should I check if registrations are not transferred?
If information is missing in Tripletex, verify that:
• The employee number matches between Handyman and Tripletex.
• The registration date falls within the Order period.
• Duplicate registrations do not exist for the same employee, Salary code, and date.
• The Salary code or Product exists in Tripletex.
• The Customer exists in Tripletex.
• The Department exists in Tripletex.
• The Official in charge has permission to manage Projects in Tripletex.
