What does the plugin do?
Once an order line has been sent to the ERP system, Handyman Office normally locks it to prevent accidental changes. This plugin lets authorised users remove that lock for individual Hours & Cost or Material lines — so the line can be corrected and re-exported.
Important: Only use the plugin if your ERP system can handle a second export of the same line. See the notes below for details.
How do I unlock order lines?
- Open the plugin from the relevant order in Handyman Office.
- The plugin shows two tabs: Hours & Cost and Material.
- In the first column, tick the entries you want to unlock.
- Click Unlock and confirm the action.
- Close the plugin.
- Refresh Handyman Office — without a refresh the entry will still appear locked.
- After the refresh you can edit the entry.
What are the important notes?
- Approved entries are not shown. Unlocking is not possible for Hours and Costs that have been approved in the Handyman Hours Approval module. Approved entries are therefore hidden from the plugin.
- Edit immediately after unlocking. The line will only be editable until the next scheduled export runs and locks it again.
- Many columns appear. Not all columns are relevant to every user. Hide non-relevant columns on first use via the column chooser — your column configuration is saved in your user profile.
- ERP compatibility: Unlocking triggers a new export of the line to the ERP system. Verify that your ERP can handle this before using the plugin.
What is example: Handyman extension for Microsoft Dynamics Business Central?
As long as the entry is still listed under Orders from Handyman in Business Central, you can safely unlock and edit the line. The re-export will update the existing record in Business Central.
If the order has already been processed further in Business Central, do not use the plugin — the extension may no longer be able to update the line correctly.
