Basic service process: Test and improve
- Start with the basic service process defined in this article.
- As you progress, add additional functionality to meet the specific requirements of your customer.
- Discuss any questions or concerns with the Handyman consultant while going through the process.
- Take note of any gaps between the customer's requirements and the current solution for future improvements.
- In this step, focus on the basic functionality of the extension, such as:
- Exporting orders
- Importing and updating orders
Additional functionality: Add, test, and improve
- Handyman and the BC Extension offer plenty of opportunities to customize the solution to meet individual requirements. The project team should determine which areas to address and the level of detail.
- Typically, in this stage, topics like the following are addressed:
- Checklists
- Service Order Types
- Work Type Codes
- Service Forms
- Service Contracts
- Reports
Fine-tuning
- Iterate through the service process and adjust the configuration as needed.
- By the end of this stage, all open gaps and questions should be resolved, and the process should be documented.
- Create a dedicated document for Handyman Office and Handyman Mobile that guides users through the process with screenshots and comments for each step.
Training
- Use the process description defined above.
- We recommend the following setup for training:
- 4 hours for Handyman Office
- 4 hours for Handyman Mobile
- Maximum of 10 persons per training session
- Office users should participate in the mobile training.
- Conduct the office training before the mobile training so that office users can create the orders needed for the mobile users' training.
