General
The general settings for a user contain basic information about the user, such as name, user ID, department, contact information, and user language.
For users who need to sign many reports, an image of their signature can be uploaded to add it to the reports automatically.
There is a dropdown menu for the type of workweek the user has.
This setting is used in conjunction with the time approval module to display the user's normal number of hours per week.
The options for this are as follows.
- Normal means the user works the same amount of hours as specified in the company settings.
- Fixed means they have a set work week with more or fewer hours.
Using this option activates a field for specifying the amount of hours for this user. - Variable work week is for employees that do not have a fixed amount of hours per week.
- Absence means not there.
The GSGroup user account button creates a user in the Handyman Portal based on the information in the Handyman Office.
A user can have several different licenses based on their duties in the company.
The drop-down menu on the right side of the licenses section is used to assign a profile.

- Handyman Office license requires a user ID and allows that user to log in to the desktop software.
- Handyman Mobile license allows the user to synchronize with a mobile device.
In addition to the standard license, an Hours & Costs type license can be assigned that limits the user's actions on an order. - Stock control lets you assign a car store to the user.
- Report editing activates the option to edit reports in Handyman Office.
- Electronic travel log activates the option to log on to the Guard Systems travel log in Handyman Mobile.
Roles define what functions the user can access.
A user not assigned to a department can not be set as an official in charge.
- The system administrator is, by default, able to access all functions.
This access can be overridden with a user profile. - No order access limits the users' access to the Configuration and System menu.

The official in charge filter shows a collapsible list of departments' users.
Here, it is possible to specify who this user is in charge of.
If the user's role is set to official in charge of the department, the list will only display users from the same department.
Groups
A user's group defines what is available to the user on Handyman Mobile.
On the right-hand side, you can set the income category for the user.

Cost element
User-specific cost elements affect the calculated price during invoicing.
The combination of cost element type and person defines what will be the calculated price on the invoice. This is done per person and will override the definitions on the cost element.
On the left hand side there will be a new menu for assigning and removing cost elements on the given user.
Example: Employee A may cost 520 per hour for cost element X and Employee B costs 490 per hour for the same cost element.
Skills
You can assign skills to users to make sub-divisions when selecting participants for orders.
Assigned skills are on the left side and available skills are on listed on the right.

Documents
If there are documents that should only be available to specific users they can be uploaded in this tab.
A new menu will be visible on the left hand side that is specific for documents.
Certificates
Company certificates can be assigned to user in this tab.
The available certificates are managed in the Company section.
