Welcome to the Handyman extension for Business Central
The Handyman extension connects Business Central with the Field Service Management System Handyman. It allows Field Service Technicians to access Business Central orders on their mobile devices and document their work in the field. This information is then imported into Business Central for invoicing and accounting purposes.
Handyman is primarily used by Business Central users for the following tasks:
- Scheduling orders created in Business Central using the Handyman Resource Planner, a graphical planning and dispatch board
- Viewing complete information about Business Central orders on a mobile device
- Recording time and materials used, adding photos and additional documentation, and capturing signatures on the mobile device
- Managing processes, user rights, and configuration
In addition, Handyman offers additional functionality such as managing service contracts, a customer web portal, and route optimization, which can be activated if needed.
Data is exchanged between Business Central and Handyman through a Webservice. The extension can be customized to meet specific requirements, so its usage may vary in different implementations.
